🌼 FLOWER FESTIVAL MADEIRA 2018 🌼
The island of Madeira certainly put on an amazing celebration to welcome in the spring.
From the 19th of April until 6th of May the Island, especially Funchal turns into a stage of floral brilliance.
🌸On Saturday 21st April enchanting Children’s Parade begins, with hundreds of local Children dressed for the occasion join together in the Municipio Square where, a beautiful flower mural is built, symbolically named “the Wall of Hope” (Muro da Esperança).
🌸On Sunday afternoon, the 22nd of April, the streets of downtown Funchal will be filled with music, colour and soft aromas, through the parade comprised by magnificent floats, which harmoniously combine numerous flower species with blooming decorations full of creativity.
I’d love to visit Madeira at this magical time, I can imagine the colours, dancing, amazing food and lots of laughter…
